Merla Flow Control Division
Since the “Merla®” brand was first registered in 1937, products by the Merla® Tool Company were rugged, reliable, and manufactured to the highest quality standards possible. The original Merla® brand Surface Flow Control Valves are part of the Tejas' product offerings. Merla® valves (commonly called “chokes”) are original Merla® designs, with decades of proven field history and design improvement. Merla® valves are known worldwide for reliability, sound engineering, and great service.
The product line consists of these familiar offerings:
- FCV Series - Flow Control Valves are plug and seat type valves used primarily on gas lift manifolds for the control of injection on gas, small water flood projects or any similar type application.
- ACV Series - Adjustable Choke Valves are standard plug and seat trim along with ported cage trims to combat, cavitation, erosion and noise. These chokes are used where high flow rates and high differentials are encountered. The ACV can be used for both mono and multiphase applications either as wellhead production chokes, secondary recovery projects such as water or gas injection and thermal recovery applications
- Motor Valves - MV-60 series pressure open or close and are used as a high pressure regulator, dump valve, or with a time cycle controller for intermittent gas lift applications.
- The Positive In-line Choke is designed for bi-directional flow and is used primarily in gas storage applications.
- A New Field Proven Rotary Electric Actuator is available for the FCV series valves. The ACV series can accommodate any pneumatic or electric actuator.
- Flow Com - a user friendly software program is available to assist in sizing and trouble shooting.
